ttoogg is just a Perl script that calls a bunch of other utilities installed on your system to convert different audio formats (currently wav and MP3) to Ogg Vorbis format. As an added feature, if you have your audio files hierarchically arranged by artist and album, the script tries to figure out the artist and album and scans your CDDB files to create Vorbis comments for the Ogg Vorbis files.
The script can also parse ID3 tags in MP3 files and CDDB files to get information suitable for Vorbis comments. |
| Dependencies | To use ttoogg, you must have Perl, the oggenc Ogg Vorbis encoder, the ogg123 Ogg Vorbis player, and the mpg321 free MP3 player. |

ttoogg is being developed on Debian GNU/Linux. This entire project, including its web site, ftp site, bug tracking, and CVS repository is being hosted by SourceForge.
